ASCO solenoid valves are available in a wide variety of configurations to meet practical any requirement. We offer valves with 2 Body connections (2 way), 3 Body connections (3 way), and 4 and 5 Body connections (4 way) in a wide variety of pipe sizes ranging from ¼” up to 3”.
Two way valves are available in normally closed or normally open constructions. In normally closed valves, the main orifice is closed if power is not supplied to the solenoid. In normally open valves, the main orifice is open when the solenoid is de-energized. Four way valves are usually used to fill / exhaust double acting cylinders. Here, the cylinder is powered in both directions, versus only in one direction with a spring return type. Four way valves can also be supplied with a double coil to prevent the valve from shifting in case of a power outage.
All valve types are available in various body materials; including brass, aluminum, stainless steel and even bronze, which will depend on the fluid being handled and the required pressure rating. Elastomer materials can also be modified from standard BUNA Nitrile, to many other types such as, Neoprene, FPM, EPDM as well as others. Pressure ratings can range from high vacuum up to 100 bar and more.
