ASCO recently launched a 290 series piston valves with a 32 mm operator in 3/8”, 1/2" and 3/4" pipe sizes. This allows ASCO to now have the most compact valve on the market. The reduction in operator size will not only reduce the size of will not only reduce the size of the valve package, but the weight and air consumption as well.
This range, known as the “700 Series” 290 valve is available with a 316L stainless steel body as standard. It will easily handle the most aggressive fluids, steam, as well as air and water. The 32 mm operator is also extremely sealed to prevent fluids and contaminants from entering the operator. It has been tested to over 1 million cycles on steam and multi-million on water and air.
The valve also has an available slow closing feature, which helps to reduce water hammer. The stuffing box in the operator is designed with a stem wiper, which keeps the operator seals free from contaminants and provides years of reliable service. The main disc is made from a rigid PTFE material, which provides bubble tight shutoff on closing.
